About + Resources
This blog started as a whole big huge global network I called EquineConnection.org. I had visionary plans for the thing, but ran out of resources before I could steward it to the ‘tipping point’. Sad, sad – but not really because working on that network for two years caused me to invent the creative content I’m assembling here. From the Alfie & io cartoon series to Mu’s News video shorts and all the original info content.
Matter of fact without the network this Merry Horses persona wouldn’t have been invented and she is a tremendous spokeshorse for equine advocacy and rescue.
She’s also fabulously well connected throughout the world of equine advocacy. She uses Facebook to the fullest advantage and has grown a following of compassionate horse lovers as a result of interacting with them there. Indeed, people are so familiar with the Facebook interface they tend to prefer staying there rather than hopping off to go to another network. So here we are with this blog!
Oh I should mention that Merry Horses is the positive side of me.
I’m Marti McGinnis. I’m an artist who moved to the so called “Horse Capitol of the World” some years ago and discovered things about how people look after equines I had sometimes wish I hadn’t. And yet jumping in to try to make the world a better place, whether through my art, or volunteer work or this blog – has always been a significant part of who I am.
